Real Puerto Rican and Latin American Spanish for your students
BoricuaSpeak helps learners understand and speak Spanish the way people actually talk, region by region, starting with Puerto Rico. Students practice on their own between classes, so it can sit alongside what you already teach.
We're starting a small pilot with teachers. Tell us about your class and we'll reach out.
What students can practice today
Spanish by region, Puerto Rico first
Lessons start with Puerto Rican Spanish: the phrases, rhythm and dropped sounds people use every day. Students can switch regions or compare how the same phrase sounds in the Dominican Republic, Cuba, Mexico, Colombia, Spain and more.
Speaking practice with pronunciation feedback
Shadowing, echo and quick-reply drills have students say Spanish out loud and get feedback on their pronunciation, not just tap answers.
An AI conversation tutor
Students hold conversations with an AI tutor from the region they are studying, in guided scenarios or open chat, with corrections along the way.
Slang and culture in context
Local slang with meanings, real examples and notes on who says it, plus short culture notes from each region.
Progress and streaks
XP, daily goals, streaks and a weekly league keep practice going between classes, and each student sees their own stats and achievements.
Who it fits
Spanish teachers who want students to hear the Spanish spoken in Puerto Rico and across Latin America, not only textbook Spanish.
Heritage-speaker programs, where students often understand family Spanish and want the confidence to speak it.
Tutors and homeschool families looking for daily practice between sessions.
Good to know
Each student uses their own account. There's no teacher dashboard, class roster or LMS integration today.
Student accounts are for ages 13 and up, as our Terms of Service say.
BoricuaSpeak runs in a web browser and in the Android app. Speaking practice needs microphone access.
